  1. Online testing made effective and easy.

  2. The easy way to have your tests answered and scored online. • If you have a test in a PDF file, it can be online and ready to answer in minutes with no technical expertise required. • Quizcase uses YOUR document and displays it to students directly. • No retyping, or reconstructing tests within a database • Your graphics and your symbols are used intact. • Unlike a paper-based quiz, Quizcase reveals only one answer at a time • Reduces “over the shoulder” sharing of answers • Test is visible to students for a limited time • Test Facilitator chooses when the test is revealed to each group of students.

  3. Once your test is online: • Tests can be scored with the click of a mouse. • An item analysis can be viewed to spot issues with a question or a faulty “correct” answer. • The “correct” answers can be edited or faulty questions eliminatedthen tests rescored with one click. • The resulting database can generate insights into the effectiveness of: • Individual questions • Instruction techniques • Student performance over time.

  4. Organization: There are 3 levels of access defined for each test. • Project Administrator (e.g. Contest Supervisor ) • Test Facilitator (Classroom Teacher, Instructor, Site Manager) • Student (Learner or Contestant).

  5. Project Administrator (eg. Contest Supervisor) • Registers with Quizcase • Posts the test and enters the answers • Chooses when to mark the test • Can download a variety of reports or the entire Database • Schools registered & contact information • Student lists from each school • Student Master List sorted by score • Item analysis for each question • Etc. • Provides a secure project code to each Facilitator.

  6. Test Facilitator(Classroom Teacher, Instructor, Site Manager) • Receives the Project Code from the Administrator • Registers the Site (School) • Receives a Site Code to be used for student registration. • Starts the test clock (This reveals the test to the students.) • Manually stops the test ( Quizcase shows elapsed time on the Facilitator’s screen) • Quizcaserecommends that (say) a 90 minute test be available for 120 minutes to allow for any local computer or student issues. After the 120 minute limit, Quizcase makes the tests invisible to every student in the class..

  7. Student (Learner or Contestant). • Uses the Site Code to register for the test. • Once registered, they use their own email and password to log in. • A demonstration quiz is available to rehearse and check for any I.T. issues • On test day, they log in with their personal password and answer the questions when the test is revealed by the Facilitator.

  8. Screen Views: • Login at Quizcase.com • All participants log in on the same screen. • New accounts follow this link • Registered users log in with email and their personal password. • (Additional project codes allow a single registered Facilitator to supervise multiple projects (contests, tests). )

  9. Facilitator(Teacher) Page Facilitator (teacher) has registered, supplied an alternate contact info and has received a Site Code generated during registration.Only students using a valid site code will be able to register for the event.

  10. Facilitator (Teacher) Page The Demo Test has instructions for the Facilitator and the students, as well as a practice quiz. Facilitator can view the list of students that have registered at that site. (Students must register before the event.) Facilitator clicks this linkto reveal the test to the students at that site. This starts the clock.

  11. Facilitator (Teacher) Page The test has started. It was set to run for 120 minutes. The Facilitator will stop the test at the appropriate time. Following the start of the testing, ALL tests become visible to the facilitator

  12. Facilitator (Teacher) Page Facilitator can see the students registered for each test using the “list students” link Student password is visible in case a registered student has trouble logging in.

  13. Student (Contestant) Page Student has registered using the site code supplied by the Facilitator. They should try the Demo Test. When instructed they use the Begin link to see their test. In this case, multiple tests are offered and each student chose the test to be written when registering. Changes to the student records must be made by the teacher or administrator

  14. Demo Page Demonstration quiz instructions.

  15. Demo quiz showing the answer panel • Answer entry panel features: • is at the bottom of the screen. • hard to see from another station • only one answer is visible • answered question numbers have green background. (Questions do not have to be answered in sequence.) • the number of answers recorded is always visible. • most of the screen is used to display the test. • easy to review and edit answers before finishing • answers are recorded in the database during the test, so work is not lost if a computer fails. • Try the Live Demo Test
