High Level Goals • Long Term Goals • To hold a Mountain View High School Science Fair that includes judges and prizes. • To increase teacher participation. • Develop connections with the community – SRP, ASU, Fire Department, etc. • Participate annually in AzSEF • Short Term Goals • Develop a MTV – Science Fair Hand book that corresponds to the AzSEF Rules and Guidelines • Develop Science Fair Timeline • Create Science Fair Hand-outs and packets. • Develop a committee to allocate duties.

Objectives • How will you know you succeeded? • Please list the results you want to see • Long Term: • Science Fair will take place in 2012 that includes judges from the community and prizes. • There will be an increase of teachers participating in the science fair, from 2 to 4 teachers. • The list of community contacts will be increased by 5 vendors. • MTV will have students participating in AzSEF. • Short Term: • MTV Science Fair Hand Book, time line, and packet will be available for all teachers.

Intel ISEF Educator Academy Reflection - To be done… • What impressed you the most? • For the first time around the conference was great! • The science fair and competition section was the most efficient and most useful. • All presenters was great. • Loved shadowing the judges at AzSEF, the student panel. • Which Shop Talks were the most beneficial for your team? • What would you improve? • Technology: Smooth out all the technology issues. Make sure that the presentation is compatible with the software or computers being used. • What types of Shop Talks were missing? • How to incorporate a science fair curriculum within a Biology course.
