Origins of Meditation • No one person ever invented meditation it was discovered by a variety of people all over the world. • Meditation has been known for over 5000 years. • Many people believe that meditation was created by Shaolin monks, but there is no true evidence that they even discovered it first.

Conclusion • From the current research meditation has only positive effects both short and long term. The only trade off is devoting a set amount of time to meditate each day.
