  2. What is Urban Native Magazine? • Urban Native Magazine is an online website that is dedicated to providing daily blogs and publications about Fashion, Arts, Culture, Business and Lifestyle topics that occur from all across North America. • It’s main focus is to provide readers with a Native American view point and feature on these topics.

  3. Who created UNM? • The creator of this online media publication is Lisa CharleyBoy (Urban Native Girl). Lisa CharleyBoy is a published writer and professional blogger who is based out of Toronto, Canada. Her background in professional writing and passion for all things Indigenous including Fashion has allowed her to create this active lifestyle and social website for people to view and share their love of pop culture with an Indigenous twist.

  4. Urban Native Girl • Lisa CharleyBoy always had a strong interest for fashion and writing. At the age of 17, she moved from her hometown Abbotsford, British Columbia to Toronto, Ontario in pursuing her dreams to attend Ryerson University for Fashion Communications. She transferred to York University to get an Honors of Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing. • After her schooling, she worked and had written for several media publications including SPIRIT Magazine, The Guardian, CBC Arts, THIS Magazine, National Post, Spirituality&Health, and Job Postings. She has also had her own fashion column at Williams Lake Tribune, and has been a Fashion Editor at Excalibur(York University’s paper). She also was a weekly contributor to MSN.ca writing on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.

  5. When did this media source come to life? • Urban Native Magazine was first launched in 2007. • It started out as a single writer’s blog from entries of Lisa CharleyBoy under the website name of ‘Urban Native Girl’s Stuff’. • Further expansion to the website came after more readers gathered allowing more professional bloggers to take part in the daily publications of the online magazine.

  6. Why did Urban Native Girl create the online magazine? • Lisa CharleyBoy had decided to create this larger and expanded website to provide readers with more of what she has to offer as a writer, and blogger. • Her website allows readers to view more stories, blog entries in her specific categories; Fashion, Arts&Culture, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Business, News, and her original Urban Native Girl blog.

  7. Where can I view this media source? • You can view it online at: http://urbannativemag.com/about-ung/ • You can also follow Urban Native Girl on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for direct links to the website.
