  2. How Are They Formed? Moist air rises, causing low pressure More moist air is sucked in storm, faster Cooler air is pulled down Wind circles (anti-clockwise) about 10° over equator As hurricane moves it picks up more moist air and increases speed
  3. Hurricane Diagram Cold dry air is sucked into the storm As the hurricane moves it picks up moisture, increasing its speed Warm moist air rises causing low pressure Trade winds cause it to spin (anticlockwise) The eye of the storm
