(AFHC) was founded in 2001 as a 501(c)(3) Corporation in order to advance educational achievement and promote educational opportunities among Howard County youth. The Corporation is organized to operate for the following purposes: • To advance educational achievement and promote educational opportunities among African American Youth. • To promote and conduct educational seminars community-based workshops and disseminate instructional material aimed at encouraging youth to pursue studies in math, science, engineering and other academic disciplines. • To provide college and other educationalscholarships. • To sponsor motivational programs designed to promote self-improvement self-reliance and personal responsibility.
