  2. DYS Mission Statement Danvers Youth Soccer is a volunteer organization committed to providing a superior town level soccer experience to our families, and in the process building long-term love for the game of soccer by our participants. We will achieve this mission by the following core principles that guide all decisions:* We will adhere to a best-in class curriculum focused on individual player development, reinforced by coaches education and support, standardized by our coaches that directly impact the participant experience.* We will tier the player development process to ensure success for all through single age groups, ability based groups, and skill based assessments and curriculum that challenges our participants to reach the next level.* We will strongly emphasize building skills and developing soccer players and strongly de-emphasize winning games* We will execute strategies that balance appropriate competition and recreation so that all participants have a rewarding and challenging experience.* We will build a strong community through our tournaments, combined practices, volunteerism, community involvement, communications, and social networking.* We will reinforce a safe and respectful environment while playing soccer.
