Alsotheyhelpedanybodywhowas in troubleorgot home in notverygoodconditions, butwiththearrival of themodernentry-phoneitstartedtheirdisappearance.
Town crier Thiswasone of themost popular jobs in Spanishvillages. Theywere in charge of givingimportantnewsfromtheirowntownorfromothercities. Theyused a bugle tomeetingpeople, normally in thetown´ssquards.
Knifegrinder Knifegrinderswere, as usual, men and theywanderedbetweencities, townsorvillagesontheirbicyclestosharpenthingslikeknivesorscissorsorfixingumbrellas. Withthebeginning of theculture of “using and throwingaway”thesemenwerelosingtheiractivityalthoughocasionallyyou can stillfindsomeone in townsorsmallvillagestoday
