Consultyoung people on their views and find out which issues are important to them • Represent young people on a number of decision-making groups, including: • Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership • Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership + Local licensing forums + Safe Drive Stay Alive steering group • Organise events for young people WHAT WE DO THE VOICE THE CHOICE ABERDEENSHIREYOUTHCOUNCIL

We are the only youth council in Scotland with members sitting permanently at the highest levels of community planning We sit alongside police and fire chiefs and other key stakeholders, and have an equal say This gives us the power to directly influence decision-making at the top level REPRESENTATION – Community planning THE VOICE THE CHOICE ABERDEENSHIREYOUTHCOUNCIL

Saturday 23rd March, 10am-3pm Inverurie Academy Opportunity to meet youth councillors, learn about work and influence future work Workshops on health and employment Inflatables and street sports at lunch Bring together engaged young people from all Aberdeenshire AGM – AyCC 12 THE VOICE THE CHOICE ABERDEENSHIREYOUTHCOUNCIL

The Youth Council aims to be, and is designed to be, approachable for youth forums To represent local forums at a regional level we need to know the key issues This can be done through events, but it is more effective when forums approach us directly Working with Local Forums THE VOICE THE CHOICE ABERDEENSHIREYOUTHCOUNCIL
