  2. Backfround Study- Shakespearean Tragedy : It may be conveniently studied under characterization and plot. Characterization:- One Key Figure- Shakespeare’s tragedies are ultimately concerned with only one character- the hero. All the four chief tragedies are named after the principal figure.(Othello, Maebeth, King Lear, Hamlet) High status of the Hero- The Hero’s Fatal Flaw- Fate and Character-

  4. Conclusion: Shakespearean Tragedy can be studied generally through his four great tragedies that are Othello, King Lear, Macbeth, Hamlet. All are built upon common plan. The features of these tragedies are same.
