2. Class/Description • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is indicated for the management of moderately serve, acute pain that requires analgesia

3. Onset & Duration IV and IM • Onset: 30 minutes • Peak: 1-2 hours • Duration: 4-6 hours

4. Indications • Ketorolac is indicated for moderate to serve musculoskeletal pain • Unlike opioids ketorolac has no effect on the central nervous system and has no sedative or anti-anxiety effects

5. Contraindications • Hypersensitivity • Allergy to aspirin and other NSAIDs • Suspected or confirmed cerebrovascular bleeding • Hemophilia or other bleeding disorders • Do not use in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy

6. Contraindications • Renal failure • Dehydration • Upper GI bleed / ulcer history • Heart failure • Elderly patients* (relative contraindication)

7. Adverse Reactions • Nausea • Vomiting • Pain at injection site • Prolonged bleeding time • Edema • Renal failure • GI Bleed

8. How Supplied • Injection IM or IV • 15mg/ml (1 ml vials) • 30mg/ml (1 ml vials) • Color of solution: clear to slight yellowish • Do not use if precipitate appears • Store at 68 to 77⁰ F • Protect from light
