Prayer • Prayer is the heart of CWJC and is the foundation upon which this site is built, each key element is facilitated, each volunteer is recruited, and each participant is accepted. Prayer encircles all that we do.
Statement of Faith • “We believe in the Trinity, God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Bible as the Word of God. Salvation comes through grace by believing in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, our Savior and Lord. Once saved, the Holy Spirit indwells, thereby instructing, guiding, and empowering the individual to follow the mandate of Jesus Christ in daily living.”
Goals for Participants • Begin and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ, then Celebrate! • Complete job-readiness and life-skills classes, then Celebrate! • Fulfill the CWJC purpose, then Celebrate! • Give back to CWJC program, then Celebrate!
We want to celebrate every little success we can with our participants. Many have not had the opportunity to celebrate accomplishments.
The Advisory CouncilA Key Element • The Advisory Council is ideally a working body that gives direction, leadership and encouragement to the site coordinator helping her to develop the program.
Responsibilities of the Advisory Council • Ensure the fulfillment if the Key Elements. • Public Relations…As you go about your daily activities be an advocate and make people you associate with aware of the CWJC program. • Fund Raising • Provide guidance based on your area of expertise.
Help Site Coordinator access the needs in the community. • Evaluation: provide suggestions to help improve all areas of the program. • Network with local business for internships or job opportunities. • Network with local agencies to help provide services for our participants. • Network within your churches for funding, volunteers and instructors.
Build trust and a sense of teamwork among the council. • Give direction to the site coordinator. • Long range planning for the future/ • Monitor the progress of the ministry. • PRAY, PRAY, PRAY
