Definition 1. The “View size” means the division resolution of the Multicam panel. 2. The “Selecting view size” means what resolution can let On demand work.
What is “On demand”? Introduction In dual streaming mode. If View size ≧ Selecting view size, the Multicam will change the streaming from lower resolution one to higher resolution one automatically.
What is the benefit of the “On demand”? Benefit 1. On demand can let user can automatically see higher resolution streaming in larger view size. 2. On demand can let PIP and PAP get best performance.
Benefit 3. On demand can let Multicam get GOOD image quality and MEDIUM CPU usage. Ex. ●. Conclusion. WINNER!
CPU usage: 1 – 2%. CPU usage: 29 – 30%. Selecting view size • What is purpose of Selecting view size? Ex. The following is Old On demand rule. 1. Lower resolution streaming: MJPEG_320 x 240. 2. Higher resolution streaming: H264_1280 x 1024. 3. 1/16 division of 1920 x 1080 Multicam panel: 480 x 270. If 1 < 3, Multicam will change streaming from 1 to 2. This situation will let Multicam get higher CPU usage.
Selecting view size • Solution. 1. Lower resolution streaming: MJPEG_320 x 240. 2. Higher resolution streaming: H264_1280 x 1024. 3. 1/16 division of 1920 x 1080 Multicam panel: 420 x 270. 4. Selecting view size: 640 x 480.Now! 4 > 3, Multicam will NOT change streaming from 1 to 2.In other words, there is NO higher CPU usage issue.
1.Using (Advanced) Video analytic will let On demand be useless, Except for Defog and Digital object tracking. Why?? Spec. Ex. Advanced Missing Object Detection setting dialog. A. CIF B. 1.3M
Spec. • Reason. 1. Most Video analytic has been worked in Down scale CIF. Base on previous example, there is different ratio between CIF and 1.3M. A. Length: 1280 / 320 = 4 (Same ratio) B. Width: 1024 / 240 = 4.2666 (Different ratio) So 1.3M down scale to CIF, the bottom of the image will be cut. 2. The following AVP can stay alive with On demand. A. Defog: Process by actual image size. B. Digital object tracking: it needs to work in single view always get higher resolution streaming by On demand.
Spec. 2.The comparison rule between View size and Selecting view size depended on total pixel of the image. Ex.1. View size = 800 x 240 = 192KB.2. Selecting view size: 640 x 480 = 307.2KB.The On demand does NOT work.
Spec. 3.The View size of Digital matrix and Multicam both can let On demand work. Ex. “0”: View size < Selecting view size. “1”: View size > Selecting view size. Conclusion. On demand can work by “1” was from No matter Digital matrix or Multicam.
Spec. 4.In Quad enhance mode, On demand work by middle view size.
Support list Rule. If IP camera supported dual streaming with different resolution, it needed to be supported On demand function. 1. On demand support list. A. GeoVision IP products. a. GV-IP Camera V1. b. GV-BX110D 1.3M H.264 D/N Box IP Cam c. GV-MFD110 1.3M H.264 Color Mini Fixed Dome d. GV-IPCAM1.3M Color and D/N Vandal Proof Dome e. Bullet type IP camera. B. 3rd party IP products. a. Panasonic WV-NS202A: Dual stream with different resolution. 2. On demand Non-support list. A. 3rd party IP products. a. AXIS P1346: Dual stream with same resolution.
