Addiction Services Division (AdS) of MHMR of Tarrant County is the largest State-funded provider of chemical dependency treatment in Tarrant County. About Us For over 35 years, MHMR of Tarrant County Addiction Services provides medically supervised detoxification and ambulatory detoxification for adults; short-term residential treatment and intensive and supportive outpatient counseling for both adults and adolescents; and HIV case management and outreach services. We offer a holistic approach using evidence based treatment models that have gone through rigorous research. This division also offers specialized services for women with children, HIV positive clients, and people with Co-occurring Psychiatric Substance Disorders—COPSD (both mental illness and substance abuse).
AdS Continuum of Care List of Services includes: • Billy Gregory Residential Detoxification • Clemons Ambulatory Detoxification • Community Addiction Treatment Services (OTPT) Facility • Harmon Road Addiction Recovery Center (OTPT) Facility • Tarrant Youth Recovery Campus (TYRC)- 16 INPT Adolescent Males and OTPT Services • Case Mgmt. Services for Co-Occurring Psychiatric & Substance Abuse Disorders (COPSD) • HIV Street Outreach for Prevention, Testing and Education Program • HIV Intensive Case Mgmt. Program • Project LifeLine Case Mgmt. & Support for Homeless • Tenant-Based Support Services for Directions Home • Liberty House Transitional Living Facility for Homeless Veterans
AdS offers treatment to 5 thousand Tarrant County Citizens each year. We offer HIV Prevention Services to another 11 thousand citizens annually. Our efforts to end Homelessness have reached over 120 people in less than 1 year.

After Clients have been housed, the Project LifeLine staff show continued efforts in support of: • Starting Recovery/Life Skills Groups in Apartment complexes • Intervening and sending residents for treatment • Providing transportation and transporting Clients • Teaching Clients cooking skills • Harm Reduction and Trauma Resolution • Parenting and Family Reunification
Cindy Bell, Awarded Case Manager of the Year by the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition • In the first 9 mos. of the Directions Home Program; 265 individuals have been housed. • Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services offered to over 1100 people • 48 Clients entered outpatient or inpatient substance abuse treatment

There are 15,967 homeless Veterans in the State of Texas • The Dept. of Veterans Affairs provides funding for 233 beds across the state • That number increased to 263 this past Spring with the opening of “Liberty House”.
A True Liberty House Community Partnership to honor our Veterans that are… • 47% Homeless Veterans served during the Vietnam War • They have undiagnosed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and have “self-medicated” with drugs and alcohol for years • 76% Homeless Veterans have alcohol, drug and /or mental health problems • 89% were “honorably discharged” • Today’s Combat, for every Military death, 7.3 wounded soldiers survive. http://www.realtown.com/articles/view/nar-combats-homelessness-among-veterans In Vietnam, the kill to wounded ratio was 2.6 Soldiers
Liberty House Offers… • Veteran residence for up to 2 years • Social Worker Staff on Site • All Addiction Services Treatment available on site and/or nearby
MHMR offers: • Vet–to–Vet Program – specially trained veterans assisting one another with their PTSD symptoms and overall life-skills. • Cognitive Processing Therapy – solution focused, time limited therapy in which clients learn skills to reframe beliefs about life before and after trauma. • Texas Veterans Legal Services – Pro Bono Attorneys to assist with past tickets/warrants.
