  3. The Education Committee is committed to providing tools and programs that are designed to further the education and professional designations for our members. We will focus on adding value to our members by helping to expand our members overall knowledge in the benefit industry. 2008-9 Vision Statement

Communications – Led by Lou Reginelli - The goal of this committee is to provide broad communications regarding the activities of the Education committee to every member of NAHU Goals: To provide information to the NAHU membership (down to the individual member area) on current projects. To promote current NAHU projects and seminars. To give state and local directors an opportunity to ask questions and give ideas to national committee. Communications sub-Committee

  5. To survey state and local directors on their needs and then develop future projects To revamp speakers' bureau To provide a national e-mail blast every two months on the status of the education committees projects Communications Sub-Committee cont’d

  6. Designations – Frank Ruggiero will chair. The goal of this committee is to champion the area of designations and make sure that NAHU is providing appropriate support Goals: To research state and local directors to determine which new on-line designation classes should be developed and implemented. To promote current classes To develop relationships with NAHU partners (American College, AHIP, etc...). Designation Sub-Committee

  7. Programs – Chaired by Marilyn Leonard Feedback from the incoming Presidents was that this is an area of great concern and aligns with chapter relations. This is a key area and the goal of this committee is to assist state and local chapters in the development of important, and creative program ideas, etc Goals: To develop new and entertaining programs for local and state chapters. To work with and support NAHU Advisory Groups. To organize education area of the NAHU web-site to store presentations and other education information. To work with the communication sub-committee to revamp the speakers' bureau. Programs Sub-Committee

  8. Affinity Program – Farren Ross to chair. The goal of this committee is to coordinate the activities of the Educational Foundation with the activities of the Education committee as well as determine ways to provide educational tools that may have a cost involved $ generated through this will be used for expenses to provide more resources. To work with the NAHU Education Foundation Affinity Program Sub-Committee
