Project details: • In 2007/8 NWSI become the sole installer on the • Summerfield project. • NWSI installed on 262 properties • Mainly Solar thermal- 5 ECO properties had PV/Solar Thermal Grey Water harvesting/Air Source heat pumps • Installation plan ranged from 5 installation a week up to 18 • High levels of End User satisfaction. Key elements Keep residents up to date with the installation phasing. IE Scaffolding/Roofing work/ Installation/ sign off/ Equipment.
Making a Social Impact • 13 Trainee supplied from Jericho and think local • 3000 Training Hours on the Project • Jericho remunerated 27K • Devone Johnson from think local is now employed by NWSI • Training outputs • -Build self esteem • Employability ladder (joblessness) • Increase skills and knowledge
Building Integrated Local supply chains • Estimated 700 K went back into the local economy as a result of the project • Local Roofing team • Local scaffolding firm • Local Labour • Cylinder manufactured in Sandwell • Birmingham based merchant. • Local recycling business (brum Can )
