2. What is Thrivent Choice? • Member-advised charitable grant program • Recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes a portion of its charitable funds • Two components • Voting Events • Choice Dollars®

3. Voting Events • Open to all members age 16 and older • Held periodically • Recommend where to distribute $1 million or more • Short list of national organizations • Generally distributed based on % of votes received

4. Choice Dollars • Eligible benefit members • Recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes part of its charitable grant funds • Thousands of nonprofit organizations including congregations • Eligible benefit members can direct Choice Dollars throughout the year

5. Eligibility criteria for Choice Dollars • Must be a benefit member age 16 or older and have at least one of the following: • $800 in qualifying annual insurance premiums • $20,000 in qualifying contract value • Qualifying volunteer leadership position • Eligible benefit members may be designated between $25 Choice Dollars and $2,500 Choice Dollars

8. 2012 Thrivent Choice Dollars Program Highlights • Approximately 700,000 members were eligible to participate in the Choice Dollars portion of the Thrivent Choice program in 2012 • More than 21,700 congregations and organizations were enrolled in the program • $50 million Choice Dollars grant funds were distributed to more than 20,600 congregations and organizations
