Why Open Access Network? • ARRA funds need to build the capability of many carriers to reach the end user • RVT - Joins with States, Municipalities, Non-profits or Others to enable multiple service providers to compete over the same network helping subscriber’s get the best prices and services possible • Support local and regional broadband deployment in underserved and un-served areas • Short-term: Service Providers can increase revenue quickly by utilizing the Open Access Network (ONA) • Long-term: OAN owners secure continuous revenue from service provider to sustain the availability.
