  1. GTS Open Retreat Days 2012-2013 GTS Open Retreat Days are open to all students, spartners, faculty, and staff and are offered at no cost to you! Each day takes place at GTS or at a nearby site accessible by public transportation and lunch will be provided. If you are interested in attending any of these days… …please RSVP by 5:00 pm. on the date shown below. Silent Practice Retreat Day: 10 am – 5 pm, Sept. 22 RSVP: Fri. Sept. 14th, 5:00 p.m. (RSVP to e-vite) Location: St. Edward the Martyr Facilitator: James Reho This day will begin and end with simple common worship. In between, we will explore two silent practices: Insight meditation and Prayer of the Heart, together with a silent, mindful lunch. This is a day that is both relaxing and invigorating, and involves both playfulness and discipline. Mission and Spirit Retreat Day: 10 am – 5 pm, Nov. 10 RSVP: Fri. Nov. 2nd, 5:00 p.m. (RSVP to e-vite) Location: St. Anne’s and Holy Trinity Facilitator: Maggie Keenan-Bolger and James Reho This day will be an exploration of the spirituality of outreach, mission, and peacebuilding work through applied theater techniques and community-buildling exercises, helping each person engage their own call to action in the world. Worship will be held to begin and end the day and lunch is provided. Contemplative Eucharist: 11:30 am – 5 pm, Saturday, Mar 2 RSVP: Wed. Feb. 22nd, 5:00 p.m. (RSVP to e-vite) Location: GTS (lunch, 21st Street Room; Eucharist, Seabury Auditorium) Facilitator: Jeanne Person and Jonathan Linman This day begins with an exercise in mindful, contemplative eating (11:30 – 12:30). After a break for Silent prayer or spiritual reading, we gather at 1:00 p.m. in Seabury Auditorium for a Contemplative Eucharist which combines silence, music, Word and Table for a deep and transformative experience.
