My Journey with PBIS • 1975, began to study EC, no tools to support YC with CB • 2002, began collaboration with CSEFEL, U of IL, pilot program-wide PBS, Valeska Hinton ECEC • 2004, began sharing CSEFEL materials • 2006, began coaching classroom teachers, working with parents, PW PBIS implementation • The adventure continues…. Training others, facilitating/consulting for projects at many different levels of moving toward full implementation, development of materials

Where is your project in this journey? • Commitment is made to support S/E development of young children • Knowledge is gained re: PBIS for YC • Leadership Team is formed, begin to develop an implementation plan (PD, expectations, plan to support children with CB) • Involvement of families and community partners • Plan for DDDM (IOP, TPOT, TPITOS, Bof Q, BIRS) • Teach, acknowledge and teach again, at all levels (coaching, refresher trainings, new staff trainings) • Collaborate, communicate, celebrate!
