Magento 2 Restrict Cash On Delivery Extension by MageComp

Cash on Delivery payment method accounts for majority of online transactions in many countries. This payment method helps building trust and helps acquire first time customers rapidly. It has helped grow Ecommerce but still having some pitfalls like returns cost more to seller as they have to pay two way courier charges, tough cash handling, realization of money takes more time to reflect in account and many other reasons. Due to these, some store owners prefer restriction of cash on delivery. MageComp has come up with Magento 2 Restrict Cash On Delivery extension to allow visitors check COD payment method availability based on zip codes and store owners to restrict it automatically for certain locations.<br><br>Download CSV From here: Download<br><br>Extension will first allow store owners to upload CSV with zip codes to restrict COD payment method. Users will check if COD is available for their location, if not, it will show appropriate message and automatically restrict for checkout.

  2. 1.Extension Installation Guide Go to My downloadable products. The file that you download normally is a zip file. Use FTP client (such as Filezilla, WinSCP, cuteFtp) to upload or copy all folders in the zip package to your Magneto site root folder. This will not overwrite any existing files, just add new files to the folder structure. Open Command line in folder root of Magento and run following command respectively: ophp bin/magento setup:upgrade ophp bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy ophp bin/magento indexer:reindex ophp bin/magento cache:flush Navigate to Stores/Configuration, if you can see the extension tab, it is installed properly. If you need professional help regarding Magento Extension Installation, Feel free to contact us any time. 2.Configuration Once you have successfully installed the extension, go to Stores  configure the extension for use. Here you can find setting to enable or disable the extension. Restrict Cash On Delivery: Enable or disable extension from here. Allow Availability Check on Product Page: Set YES to allow customers check COD availability from product page. Show Estimated Delivery Time on Frontend: Set YES to show estimated delivery time. Estimated Delivery Message: Enter estimated delivery message, use variables if required. COD Availability Message: Enter COD availability message to show when COD is available, use variable if required. COD Unavailability Message: Enter COD unavailability message to show when COD is unavailable, use variable if required.   4. 4.Cash On Delivery unavailability on product page If the zip code doesn’t match the codes available in CSV, it will show unavailability message. If COD is available on the entered zip code, it will show Cash On Delivery payment method on checkout page.   5. 5.Zip Code Manager This is the place where all the imported zip codes with respective details are saved. You can edit or delete zip codes from here. Clicking on edit will allow you to edit zip code information. Restrict Cash On Delivery © MageComp.com
