EN 13445: a harmonised standard • The reference document in Europe to apply the PED to vessels • it gives presumption of conformity to the Directive • it represents the European consensus • it records the European expertise • Specific actions to promote its application and take account return of experience creation of a Maintenance Help Desk • provision for the delivery of the subsequent issues • adoption of a programme of work to cover technical new subjects

EN 13445 Maintenance Help Desk • A central point to collect questions &feedback from the users of the standard • A network to answer the queries in a short time • An official body to give authorised answers, accepted by the “authors” of the standard • A professional body to prepare corrected pages of the standard • A place to find updated information about the standard, its status, its future.
