  2. Why we need bike lanes • Given that the St. Louis area has the highest number of bicycle-related accidents in Missouri and that St. Charles County is considering banning bicycles on certain highways. • It has 102 out of 236 biking accidents in Missouri.

  3. Location • This is one of the many bike lanes in St. Louis

  4. Staff needed • Construction workers • Painters • Drivers

  5. Problems with the bike lanes • One of the most important and serious problem that the bikers would still have to face is the people who drink and drive.

  6. Benefits of making bike lanes

  7. Benefits • People can travel on their bikes with less stress of getting hit by a car. • The number of bicyclists getting injured would drastically go down. • It will decrease obesity.

  8. Extended • New York just recently put in bike lanes in their streets, as well as major cities is California. • Another prosperous city with bike lanes is San Francisco.

  9. Funding • Modot is currently working on making bike lanes and bike rentals throughout St. Louis. • The St. Louis county and the great rivers greenway organization.

  10. Conclusion • In conclusion, St. Louis would be a better city if they had bike lanes in roads.
