  4. Limiting factors • The mockernut hickory has to have full sun light to grow

  5. 5 Interesting facts • Pinnately compound • New sprouts can grow from the stump • Mockernut hickory nuts are edible • Pests eat hickory leaves and bark • They grow in crowded areas of trees

  6. Best thing about our tree • We picked a small tree that didn’t look like it was going to survive. We wanted to see changes that it would undergo in the next few months. By spring our tree was bloomed and that’s what we enjoyed most about it.
