Structure • Affirmative - person 1A 3 mins • Negative - person 1N 3 mins • 2 minutes preparation time for each team to set strategy • Affirmative - person 2A 3 mins • Negative- person 2N 3 mins • 2 minutes prep time • Affirmative – person 3A 3 mins • Negative – person 3N 3 mins
Grade • You will receive a grade on mp 3 for your oral presentation (100 points) • You will receive a grade for your self-evaluation after the debate on mp 3 (25 points) • You will be required to write ballots for each debate in which you are not a participant on mp3 (25 points each) • In lieu of an essay for the midterm, you will write a ‘Supreme Court decision’ on one of the Constitutional issues discussed. This will count as part of your midterm exam grade.
Dates • MIDTERM : March 22 • Debates: presentations, initial case for side due March 25 • In class debates: March 26 & 27 • Midterm essay: March 28
