What is the United ISD Discount Prescription Program? • This program allows United ISD Employees and their family members to take advantage of savings on commonly prescribed generic and brand name medications, products, and services, whether they are on the District Health Insurance Program or not
How did this evolve? • The Employee Benefits Committee (EBC) and Risk Management are continuously looking for ways to save employees and the district money on employee benefits. • Action Item: • In coordination with the Purchasing Department, the District issued a Request for Competitive Quotation for medication discounts.
The result? • Three pharmacies submitted RFCQ’s • After review by the EBC a recommendation to accept all 3 RFCQ’s was made to the United ISD Board of Trustees. The Board unanimously approved the recommendation. • All three companies were contacted of the award

Who is eligible? • All UISD Employees (With or Without Health Coverage) • All household members of UISD Employees (With or Without Health Coverage)
How much will it cost? • Nothing • Zero • Nada • Zilch
What do you need to do to get the discount and when does it take effect? • You may already begin to take advantage of the program at Lakeside Pharmacy and The Medicine Shoppe. All you need to do is present your United ISD Employee ID card prior to purchase • HEB Pharmacy will be mailing all employees a special discount card with the United ISD Logo. This card will allow you to take advantage of the program’s savings
In conclusion • Employees do not have to be enrolled in the District’s Health Insurance Program to utilize the Discount Prescription Program • Employees’ household members are eligible to use the plan whether or not they are enrolled on the District’s Health Insurance Program of the employee • Employees who are in the Health Insurance Program do not have to use their Health Insurance Card to utilize this program
