TRAINING • C- Conference about training in BMI. • Objective: • Formulating specific proposals aimed to bridge the gap between BI and MI by the use of training. • Attendants: TMC members + interested INFOBIOMED partners + SAB? + invited participants representing training stakeholders (academic organizations, industry)? • Timing: May - June 2005 (?) • Location: hosted by a TMC member (?) • 2nd TMC annual meeting at the same time (?)

TRAINING • D- Analysis of the implications of the Bologna criteria in BMI training. • Monitoring the European education policies and how they might impact the training in BMI, so as to ensure that INFOBIOMED initiatives are consistent with European policies. • Analysis to be performed during year 2.

TRAINING • E- Organisation/promotion of newly developed and/or adapted training activities. • As a result of the previous tasks, training activities will be designed and promoted by INFOBIOMED. • Recommendations to adapt the existing curricula. • New courses organised, hosted or promoted by INFOBIOMED partners. The format of the courses to be organised will be discussed during year 2.

MOBILITY • A- Mobility Brokerage Service specifications and implementation. • -The MBS is envisaged as a secure web-based marketplace addressed to create and to reinforce a BMI European Community. • MBS specifications (first draft document created). • Implementation (already started). • Communication to create awareness on the MBS and to promote candidate and host postings.

BI–MI exchanges will be specially promoted. • The funded exchange should have an international dimension. • The duration of the exchange should be between 1 and 3 months. • The funding allocated will be 1 person/month (4.000€) per exchange, allocated to the sending partner. • A maximum of 2 exchanges per year per sending organisation will be funded. • An MFM form will be sent to IMIM at least two weeks before the exchange starts. • The funding allocation will be decided by majority of the TMC members

MOBILITY • B- Mobility Funding Mechanism implementation • Up to now, one exchange has been approved (AZ -> ERASMUS). • The target is 4 exchanges in the first semester. • Rules for participation and application form are available from the private zone of the website. • At the end of 2005, it will be decided if the MFM can be opened to external parties.
