2. Graphic Artists and Designers make all sorts of amazing artwork, such as the image to the right. They are needed in almost all industries, as they are often used to create banners, web ads, cover pages for magazines, logos, etc. Most graphic artists prefer lots of color and show their own view of art in what they make, while still showcasing the content or company they are trying to advertise.

3. Education Required • In order to become a graphic artist, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. • However, you do not need any previous experience within the industry to become a graphic artist or obtain a job as one.

Abilities • Graphic artists must keep up to date with software and tools. • Certifications in graphic design software can give a competitive advantage. • Artistic ability is a must for all graphic design fields. • Computer skills are also needed, as most art is done with a tablet and through software. • Time management skills are also needed within the job field, to ensure projects are done on time (all artists like to be perfect, so this can be hard for most).
