  2. Three Types of Technical Assistance (TA) • Pro-active TA provides products and services that are scalable and useful to a broad range of stakeholders. • Responsive TA addresses direct requests for assistance from stakeholders.

Three Types of Technical Assistance (TA) • Targeted TA involves working closely with State Education Agencies (SEAs) to assist with developing, improving and/or sustaining an effective, efficient system for the provision of instructional materials in accessible formats to students with disabilities

  5. Targeted Technical Assistance (TTA) is: • Aligned to the Critical Elements of Quality Indicators for the Provision of AIM • Provided to the SEA personnel, designees and core team members with various interests and responsibilities • State-focused • State-identified and managed actions

  8. AIM TTA Activities and Expectations • State Core Team Organizational Meeting • Setting the Context A: Describing current system(s) • Setting the Context B: Vision of coordinated system • Getting from A to B:   Practical steps for moving forward

Core Team Activities – Initial and Ongoing • Identify actions that enhance the state’s efforts to ensure timely provision of accessible materials to students who require them for educational participation and achievement • Determine how internal and external collaborators can work together to help the system function as effectively and efficiently as possible • Work with LEAs and collaborators to monitor progress and support improvement • Consider how TTA from the AIM Center and others can support the work

Core Team Activities – Initial and Ongoing • Aligned to Critical Components of Quality Indicators for the Provision of AIM : • Implementation of a coordinated system for the timely provision of AIM (QI-1 & QI-2) • Development and dissemination of written guidelines (QI-3) • Provision of learning opportunities and TA (QI-4) • Collection, analysis, and use of data related to systemic effectiveness and impact on student outcomes(QI-5 and QI-6)
