  3. Four Points • This is, of course, Christianity Explained • Christianity, as the name implies, is all about Jesus Christ • The records we have of Jesus mainly consist of four biographies (or Gospels) – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John • We have chosen to look at the Gospel of Mark

  4. The Bible • 66 Books, 40 authors • Old Testament (before Jesus): 39 books • New Testament: 27 books • 4 Gospels (biographies of Jesus) • Gospel of Mark (p. 542) • 16 chapters, numbered by verse

  5. Mark 1:1 “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.”
