Chapter 12 People Phileas Fogg, Jean Passapartout, Sir Francis Cromarty, the Parsee, Brahmins, and lady that’s getting killed.
Chapter 12 Setting • The setting is on the Indian mountains of Vindhias.
Chapter 12 Mode of Transportation • They road an elephant until they had to hide the elephant from the Brahmins.
Chapter 12 Conflict • They hear Brahmins coming carrying a statue of the goddess Kali. They also have a woman and are planning to burn her at dawn.
Chapter 12 Cultural Nuances • The Brahmins would be a cultural Nuance they’re faith is Hindoowhich is why they want to burn the lady.
Chapter 13 Characters • The characters are Phileas Fogg, Jean Passapartout, Sir Francis Cromarty, and the Parsee, and the lady who is going to be burnt alive.
Chapter 13 Setting • The setting is on the Indian mountains of Vindhias.
Plot • They hear Brahmins coming and Parsee says they are going to burn the lady they see passing. PhileasFogg wants to save the lady. Phileas Fogg goes to the pagoda where the lady is going to be burnt alive. They reach the pagoda later that night and wait for the guards to leave the walls. They don’t leave. They have to carry they’re other plan out, to break in. They start getting one brick out of the wall then the rest of the wall will yield. Then they hear a scream and guards come outside and guard the gate outside. Phileas Fogg and his crew run and hide in the woods. At dawn they take her and lay her next to her husband they light the oil soaked wood and it instantly catches fire. Then Passapartout saves the lady from the pyre. Then they run into the woods and get on the elephant who leaves at a great speed.
