Learning Barriers and safety notices are placed for a good reason - to protect you from risk of injury. Ignoring them increases the risk to your personal safety. Observe all barriers, safety notices and instructions at all times. • 2. Why • Staff and others have become accustomed to getting to a location by their “usual route” and see the barrier as a hurdle to overcome. • It is not always recognised that barriers are there for YOUR safety and not a deliberate inconvenience.
