Many people, including many Catholics, think that it refers to the conception of Christ through the action of the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. And the virgin's name was Mary. And he came to her and said, "Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!" But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father

Those who are in the habit of living for God and from His strength will also experience confusion, frustration, uncertainty. The difference: The willingness to follow. “I am a servant of the Lord, may it be to me according to your word.”

EMMANUEL: THROUGH THE EYES OF JOSEPH, MARY, & HEROD MARY, DEC. 15, 2013 • 3 Things to keep in mind about KNOWING God is in it: • God will never ask you to sin in order to obey him • God will not lead you to contradict His character or His Word • God often allows for confusion, frustration, uncertainty even as you follow Him.
