New Enhancements • All enhancements are for , , or both as indicated in the top right corner of each slide. • Updates include: • Customer Upload of Logfiles • Enhanced Module Identification Window • Quick Graphs • Logfile Converter • Usage Tracking • New Panel for Virtual Technician • Virtual Technician (VT) Troubleshooting Material

Customer Upload of Logfiles • While connected to a vehicle, the user can select a toolbar or menu option that will mark the current session for upload. • While in the log file open dialog, the user can select a log file and mark it for upload. • Upon the next connection to the server (via “Connect to Server” in the Program Device Panel of DDRS, or Tools  Update in DDDL/DDRS), any marked log files will be uploaded. • This gives a user the ability to submit logfiles to the Customer Support Center without the need to search directories for the logfiles and attach them to emails.

  4. Enhanced Module Identification Window • In past versions, the connection display was not user friendly, making the connection status and fault code information cluttered. Information would be truncated and not visible, and at the same time not enough information was shown. • Fault code count is now highlighted in the status icon notifying the user if fault codes exists and the number of codes currently active. • A cleaner color scheme has been established to correspond to the status of the module connections (i.e. ACM, MCM, and CPC).

  5. Quick Graphs • Whether connected to a vehicle live or reviewing a logfile, right-clicking on most instruments will provide a graph of that instrument’s values throughout its connection period.

  6. Logfile Converter • The converter turns data compiled during the creation of a logfile (ex. sensor readings) and presents it in a text-based format. • Output formats available: • CSV (Comma-delimited) • ASCII

  7. Logfile Converter Option • The files can also be customized by specific times within the logfile or with certain data. • The conversion can be done with individual or multiple logfiles. • The Logfile Converter is accessible through the Start Menu in Windows.

  8. Usage Tracking • DDDL/DDRS can track which panels, dialogs, test/routines are navigated by user during the entire connection period. • While connected to ECU, tool usage is viewed under the Chart Panel, then on the Events tab.

  9. Usage Tracking Detail • Tool usage tracking can also be viewed in the Seek Time Dialog found under the Log toolbar.

  10. New Panel for Virtual Technician (VTECU) • Indicators provide a status of VTECU components (Clock, SIM, Memory, GPS) • GPS position (latitude, longitude) of the vehicle is provided with an online map (via Google) to show its location • All Virtual Technician fault codes are logged in the Fault Codes Panel • Panel is only viewable in vehicles with Virtual Technician installed

Virtual Technician Troubleshooting Material • Several fault codes broadcasted from the VT box will have troubleshooting linked into the Troubleshooting Guide. • Access to troubleshooting is the same as any engine code. • Virtual Technician fault codes will only appear if the vehicle has a VT box installed and establishes a connection with DDDL/DDRS.

  12. Virtual Technician Troubleshooting • Clicking on “Troubleshoot Fault” will provide troubleshooting steps that can be followed to address issues with the Virtual Technician boxes.
