John Leasure Why Jobs Fail Announcing Title copy
Top 5 Reasons Why Jobs Fail • Missing or forbidden parameter • No diameter compatible with pattern • Off power range • Non existent addition • RxCP job present job still present This section may seem very technical, for some but it affects Sales, Customer service and Lab people
Missing Or Forbidden Parameter • This error is only found in enhanced jobs that require data from ECP (Panto, Tilt, Vertex distance…) • Our competitors use defaults in many of the customization fields. We ask for real data.
No Diameter Compatible With The Pattern This is almost always a cutout issue. If 71 is the diameter required for the job to cut out based on the frame size and decentration. You will either suggest a smaller frame, or modify the PD, seg ht or dbl to get it to process. We use 5mm increments so it is possible it will process Be sure to check availability charts and ELART
Off Power Range • It is usually just what it sounds like, but it could be looking for a blank diameter that is not available. • If you calc a Physio Poly -9.00 and the frame dimensions call for a 70/75 but according to ELART the max is 65/70 it will fail but a 70 may work. So you will have to specify the blank diameter.
Non-Existent Addition • Most often caused by exceeding the range of the add power. For example, A Comfort 2 short job is requesting 3.25 add; however, this product has a maximum add of 3.00
RxCP Job Still Present • This means the job has been entered two times in a row and is till waiting on results. It could also mean the product was not defined correctly in the translation table and the calculator does not know what it is. This would require you to check your lens database.
Summary • Use ELART (www.EssilorLenses.com) • Use Availability Charts • Maintain Lens Database • Call Help Desk (Digital Help Desk 888-244-6839)
