  1. HOW TO: DOMO ANIMATE By: Lynacy Bacon

  2. Getting started When you first open the program it will look like this. From here you can add scenes, characters, objects, text, and more.

  3. To add characters you select the little brown box next to the Domo with a speech bubble and select the theme of characters you want to put in the scene. To select the characters from the theme you select the little tab under the brown box that has a picture of a little Domo coming out of an eggshell. You can move around the characters by selecting it and dragging it around on the screen to create a scene.

  4. To add a speech bubble to the character you select the little tab next to the character tab that has a speech bubble on it. From there you may select any type of speech bubble you want to use. Once you select the speech bubble you want to use, you drag it where you want it next to a character. You may click on the little tail from the speech bubble and move it also. To do this you have to click on the orange dot on the end of the tail.

  5. Backgrounds To change the background on a scene you select the tab to the right of the speech bubble tab. It should have a picture of a mountain on it. From there you can pick out any background you want on the scene.

  6. Remember, you can change the style of characters and backgrounds by clicking on the tab at the top above the tabs!

  7. To Add Objects Click on the tab with the little tree on it. In that section is three grey bars that say Hand-held, Headgear, and Others. Select any of the objects you want in the scene and then move it around when it comes up on the screen.

  8. To Add sounds… Click on the tab on the right of the tree with the music note on it. There are grey tabs underneath the tab that say Music, Effects, and Voice-overs. You can pick any of the sounds to put in your scene.

  9. Effects! To add effects click on the tab that has FX on it. After that you can select any effect you want on the scene.

  10. To add a new scene click on the box at the bottom right hand corner next to where it says Displaying: SCENE 1. CLICK ON THE CLAPBOARD WITH THE PLUS SIGN ON TIT O ADD A SCENE TO THE ANIMATION

  11. TO COPY AN ITEM SELECT THE ITEM AND PUSH THE BUTTON AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE THAT SAYS COPY TO PASTE THE ITEM CLICK ON THE BUTTON NEXT TO COPY THAT SAYS PASTE

  12. To undo something select the undo button at the top. To redo something select the redo button right next to the undo button.

  13. To take a screenshot select the button with a camera on it that says screenshot.

  14. To create a new animation and start over, select the button that says new at the top. To save it select the button that says save on it.

  15. TO PREVIEW YOUR ANIMATION SELECT THE BUTTON AT THE TOP THAT SAYS PREVIEW.

  16. REMEMBER, YOU CAN USE DOMO ANIMATE TO CREATE ANY KIND OF ANIMATION ABOUT ANYTHING YOU LIKE.
