  3. “Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” (2 Cor 7:9-10 NKJV) • 2 Peter 1:5-7) Add to your knowledge the characteristics we need in our lives!! What brings about shame?

  13. “… in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing” (1 Tim 2:9 NKJV) Our manner of dress

  14. “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Tim 2:15 NKJV) A lack of diligence in learning

  15. Maintain and gain knowledge from God’s word (Colossians 1:9-10) • Keep the right company (1Corinthians 15:33) • Maintain a good reputation (Ruth 3:11) • “And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you request, for all the people of my town know that you are a virtuous woman.” (NKJV) Utilizing the value of shame

  16. Do NOT be ashamed of the gospel (Romans 1:16) • Do NOT be ashamed of faithful Christians (2Timothy 1:8) • Do NOT be ashamed to suffer as a Christian ( • To suffer as a Christian (2 Timothy 1:12; 1 Peter 4:16) • Of Christ and His will. (Luke 9:26) Utilizing the value of shame

  17. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame. 27 Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.” (NKJV) Joel 2:26-27
