Why Do People Celebrate Hanukkah? • Hanukkah is the story a great victory of the Jews over the Syrian-Greeks. Jewish people tell of story of only having enough oil to burn the candles in the temple for one day, but the oil lasted for eight days. That is why they celebrate Hanukkah and why the menorah has eight candles.

What Are Some Traditions Of Hanukkah? • Dreidel, menorah and the bible. The dreidel is a top. [sevivon in Hebrew] It is a top with four sides. On each side there is a Hebrew letter. You spin it like a top. You get gelt based on which side it lands on. Gelt is chocolate coins.

Would I like To Celebrate Hanukkah? • Yes, I already celebrate this holiday. If I did not celebrate this holiday I would want to celebrate Hanukkah because I like lighting the candles.
