Paradox = seems to contradict “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matt. 10:39 NKJV “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” Matt. 23:11
I. Jesus Christ came into the world... THAT WE MAY ENTER INTO HEAVEN “...Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners...”I Tim. 1:15 2. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:2-3
II. Jesus Christ was born in the flesh... THAT WE MAY BE BORN OF SPIRIT “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us”John 1:14a “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 “the spirit is truth”1Jn.5:6
III. Jesus was born of woman... THAT WE MAY BE BORN OF GOD “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,”Gal.4:4 NKJV Isa. 7:14 “behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son”
III. Jesus was born of woman... THAT WE MAY BE BORN OF GOD New Birth “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” I John 5:4
IV. Jesus became the son of man... THAT WE MAY BE SONS OF GOD Phil.2:5-9 “being in the form of God” - - “was made in the likeness of men” 1 Jn 3:1-3 “we should be called the sons of God” - - -“Now are we the sons of God”
V. Jesus Christ accepted poverty... THAT WE MAY BE MADE RICH “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” 2 Cor. 8:9
VI. Jesus Christ was rejected of man... THAT WE MAY ACCEPTED OF GOD “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” John 1:11 NKJV “But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”Acts 10:35
VII. Jesus became the man of sorrows.... THAT WE MAY REJOICE & BE GLAD “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:”Isa. 53:3 Phil. 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”
VIII. Jesus Christ was made sin for us.... THAT WE MAY BE RIGHTEOUS 1 Pet.2:22-24 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, …that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Cor.5:21
IX. Jesus Christ was put to death.... THAT WE MAY BE MADE ALIVE “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.” Matt. 27:50 “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,” Eph. 2:1 NKJV
X. Jesus Christ was cursed on earth.... THAT WE MAY BE BLESSED ABOVE “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), Gal. 3:13 NKJV Deut. 21:22-23
X. Jesus Christ was cursed on earth.... THAT WE MAY BE BLESSED ABOVE “that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Gal.3:14 Rev. 14:13
