  2. Project Nurture • Project Nurtureprovides an opportunity for all environment conscious and tree lovers to contribute to a greener Pune City. • Who can participate: • Individuals • Corporates • NGO / Self-help groups Project Nurture

  3. Objectives • A green city. • Create employment: NGOs will employ people for maintenance of the trees. • Create a source of income: The fruit bearing trees / medicinal trees will provide income to the NGO / Self-help group in course of time. Project Nurture

  4. Role of Seva Sahayog • Act as a bridge between Corporate and NGO. Project Nurture

  5. How can a individual contribute? • Become a coordinator for this drive in your company / college / society. • Make presentations of this drive at various places. • Create a Sapling Bank for next year. It is surprisingly easy to grow indigenous saplings, right in your garden / balcony / window! A one year old sapling has higher chances of surviving when planted. • Become a volunteer for field work. Take part in the tree plantation drives. • Sponsor a tree on occasions like birthdays & anniversaries. • Donate old plastic bottles of size 1 Lt or more with cap. • Donate tools like Kudal, Phavade, Ghameli, Pahar.   6. How can a Corporate contribute? • Make Project Nurture a part of the Corporate’s ‘Green Drive’. • Donate funds to sponsor trees. A Corporate can sponsor say 50 trees by donating Rs. 50,000. These funds will be used for the maintenance of the plants. • Corporate employees can also participate in a plantation drive. • Donate old plastic bottles (size: more than 1 Lt.) These will be used for watering plants in dry months. • Donate tools like Kudal, Phavade, Ghameli, Pahar. Project Nurture
