Business basics Kat J CCT portfolio
Content and behavior • Sharing and downloading music • Plagiarizing school papers • Shared files
Downloaded/shared music • Downloading free music could take away from the artists’ profit, and how successful they are. • Sharing music is also taking away how much the artist is making, because they aren’t getting any money from the music they make. • Any music you would share would be taking away from the artists you like.
Plagiarism in School Papers • Plagiarizing takes the credit the author had, and gives it to you. • It makes it harder for the students to understand what they’re supposed to do for it. • When a student plagiarizes a paper, it’s them taking the credit for the author, and then being graded on something that isn’t theirs.
Shared files • If your home computer has shared files, anyone can take your stuff and ideas. • If you are writing something, someone could think it was a good idea and take it. • Also, they could download the same music as you. • If they downloaded your music, then they would be taking away profit from the artist as well.
