What about Maricopa? Where do we lose the MAT 082 students? Most students in MCCCD seeking an Associate’s Degree and/or desiring to transfer, need to complete either MAT 141/142 or MAT 150/151/152 MCCCD Fall 2011: 271 sections of MAT 082 were offered in MCCCD and approximately 5000 students enrolled 5000 enroll in 082 3350 receive an A, B, or C (67%) 2435 enroll in MAT 09X (49%) 1460 receive an A, B, or C (29%) They need these classes 830 enroll in MAT 12X (17%) 690 receive an A, B, or C (14%) *Estimate based on previous data from one college

The Flipped Classroom • Students progress at their own pace but must meet minimum due dates. • Students are required to keep a comprehensive notebook that is graded after every test. • Students work in groups on number sense activities every two weeks. • Students can test out of a moduleand finish the course early.
