  1. Financial Data Analysis I Description: The Rmetrics Association (Asia Chapter), in association with IGIDR, is offering a high quality workshop in programming with R. The course consists of four blocks, composed of 30% lecture, 20% examples and 50% case studies. This workshop is a part of the three day series of workshops on Financial Data Analysis Using Rfrom 14rd July to 16th July, 2011, complemented by a two day workshop on Time Series Analysis using R. Course Topics: Session 1: Basics - Overview of R, Basic Syntax, Built-in Functions, R Objects & Data Structures, Logic, Loops and Control Structures, Effective Debugging in R Session 2: Data Manipulation -Importing/ Exporting Data, Data Structures, Manipulation of Data Structures Session 3: Graphics with R- Overview of Graphics in R, Devices & File Formats, High Level Plotting Session 4: Basic Statistics with R - Descriptive Statistics, Distribution Functions, Random Number Generation, Hypothesis Testing and Parameter Estimation Course Audience: This is a hands-on classroom introductory training course for R.
