Uses of the electromagnetic spectrum in every day use • Radio waves- by using a radio, or car stereo • Microwaves- cooking food, or any technology • Infra-red- using infra-red cameras to look for body heat of people • Visible light- seeing a rainbow when the sun is showing after it rains • UV rays- some people would use a tanning bed • X—rays- people need these to determine rather or not there bones are broken or not • gamma rays- going to go get a cat scan
Opaque- is a where you cant see through it. examples: wood, desk, chair, and a person • Translucent- where you can look through and you cant see detail examples: water, fag, dust storm, and out of focus telescope • Transparent: where you can see out of examples: glass, plexi-glass, plastic, and glasses
