  16. Faith, Sexism, and Justice: A Lutheran Call to Action The Churchwide Assembly will be voting on this proposed social statement in August. The statement covers issues of gender justice in the church and U.S. society.  To learn more, go to elca.org/womenandjustice

  17. At the 2019 Churchwide Assembly, the ELCA will issue an apology to People of African Descent regarding the church’s complicity in slavery and the legacy of racism still present in the ELCA, United States and globally.

  23. THANK YOU! Your generosity was record breaking. In 2018, gifts to ELCA World Hunger totaled over $23.5 million, marking the largest annual income in the ministry’s history.

  24. Lutheran Disaster Response In 2018, internationally, Lutheran Disaster Response responded to 47 emergencies in 33 countries. Domestically, we responded to 32 emergencies in 19 states/territories.
