  18. Hydroponics is the growing of plants without soil. • Plants are grown in a liquid solution consisting of water and the required nutrients of a particular plant or within a system that uses a substrate or growing mix medium (Oasis) in addition to the liquid (water) nutrient flow. • Water culture hydroponics system include the nutrient film technique, areoponics and the aeration method. HYDROPONICS

  19. Aquaculture is the farming of fish. • Aquaculture is an industry that encompasses the cultivation of aquatic plants and animals in controlled systems for commercial, recreation or resource management purposes. • The most widely accepted definition of Aquaponics is the cultivation on any aquatic (freshwater and marine) species of plant or animal. AQUACULTURE

  20. AQUAPONICS Aquaponics is the name given to the synergistic combination of aquaculture and hydroponics. The appeal of aquaponics is that in combining the two activities the potential negative aspects in each are dealt with in a viable and sustainable manner. In other words, the sum of the two when combined has greater benefits that the individual activities alone. Leading Edge Benefits Pesticide free – Organic - Sustainable
