Bishop’s Committee Responsibilities • Appointed by the Bishop • Operating division of the Diocese • Funds in name of church and the Diocese • Treasurer to provide monthly statements • Follow Guidelines for Missions • Diocese owns property
Government Relationship • 501 (c) (3) Registration • Use of Diocesan Sales Tax Exemption • All missions and parishes must obtain their own FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number)
