  5. 8-Track • Contains plastic cartridge and rotating magnetic tape inside • Tape rotates at a constant rate • Short-lived

  6. Cassette Tape • Phillips: first cassette in 1964 • Noise reduction system introduced in 1966 • Different sizes, lengths and more portable
