Located at Kaohsiung City, the 2nd largest city in Taiwan 1993 – started planning 1995 – began to recruit students To meet the demand for talented managers and engineers for the nation's needs. 3 Colleges: Engineering, Management, Foreign Language. College of Engineering: 4 Dept. Computer and Communication Engineering Construction Engineering Mechanical and Automation Engineering Safety, Health and Environmental Engineering About National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology

  7. This program is to train the students to meet the demand of the collaborated company in the field of Mechatronics. Be capable of performing the design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of precision key components, system structure, heat transfer & fluid mechanics, and system integration; and also Can plan, analyze, develop, and test a Mechanical-Electrical-Information integrated control system. II. Program Content 1. Goal

  8. 2. Eligibility of Applicants (1) International Nationality：Vietnamese preferred (Do not have an overseas Taiwanese status. ) (2) Hold a Bachelor Degree in ME, EE, or related fields. (3) Have a good command of English along with basic skills of Mandarin.

Financial Aid & Obligation • NTD $5,000(New Taiwan Dollars): supported by NKFUST per month. • NTD $5,000 per month on 1st yr and NTD $10,000 2nd yr : paid as the intern-remuneration by the collaborated company. (50% retained till fulfilling the obligation) • Tuition: waived. • Board and lodging expenses: paid by the company. • Obligation: work at the company for 3 years after graduation. (at least NTD20, 000. per month plus board and lodging expenses paid by the company) Note: 1 US dollar is about 31.3 NTD.

Application Deadline & Recruiting Procedure • Application Deadline: July 10, 2005 • Send Application Materials to: Dr. Chen-Jung Li at cjli@ccms.nkfust.edu.tw • Recruiting Procedure: • Application Documents Review • And then Interview (in mid July 2005 when passing the review) • The first 10 students will be admitted, and the next 10 students on the waiting list.

Graduation Requirements • Minimum class credits: 33, including 6 credits for thesis. • Master Thesis: • Advised jointly by faculty members at NKFUST and professionals from industry. • Topics: related advanced technology needed by industry. • Need to participate in the R&D work at the company.
