How would that make you feel? • Sorry boys you need to get in touch with your feelings for a moment. • What will that dream do to you?

A Dream Deferred Read each line of the poem and interpret possible meanings of the simile/metaphor. Then decide what type of connotation each line has.

My Example of Langston Hughes Poem: A Dream Destroyed What happens to a dream destroyed? Does it explode Like a firecracker? Or fadelike an old pair of jeans- And then get taken out with the trash? Does it linger like the odor of old socks? Or pushand pull - Like kids fighting over a toy? Maybe it just a long forgotten memory Like a childhood friend who moved away. Or does it pop like a birthday balloon?
